Do You Believe in "God"?

Many people in this world would say, “Yes”. The next question would be, “Which “God”?

The Apostle Paul said there are many gods and many lords (1 Corinthians 8:5). Which one of those many “gods” do you believe in? There are literally thousands of them to choose from.  The purpose of this blog is to help you choose the right one. After all, no one wants to worship an impotent god or a god that cannot provide for their needs or a god that cannot save them.

If you worship a god made out of natural material like stone, wood, or metal that was crafted by the hands of man, then you are worshiping an impotent god. The Psalmist wrote:

Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither can they speak through their throat. (Psalm 115:4-7)

 The prophet Isaiah wrote:

They lavish gold out of the bag, and weigh silver in the balance, and hire a goldsmith; and he makes it a god: they fall down, yea, they worship. They bear him upon the shoulder, they carry him, and set him in his place, and he stands; from his place shall he not remove: yea, one shall cry unto him, yet can he not answer, nor save him out of his trouble. (Isaiah 46:6-7)

Does this sound like your god that you made with your own hands or bought in a store?

If so, I would like to introduce you to the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM (God). His name is Yahweh. In the Hebrew text of Scripture it is spelled .  Since Hebrew reads right to left, the English letters are YHWH.

How do I know Yahweh is the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM? His only begotten Son Yeshua, the Messiah of Israel, declared it:

Yeshua spoke these things; and lifting up His eyes to heaven, He said, Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son, that the Son may glorify you, even as you gave Him authority over all flesh, that to all whom You have given Him, He may give eternal life. This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true [Elohim], and Yeshua Messiah whom you have sent. (John 17:1-3)

Messiah Yeshua is declaring that His Father is the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM. Who is His Father?

 Acts 13:33 says;

“Elohim has fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that He has raised up Yeshua again; as it is also written in the second psalm, You are my Son, this day have I begotten thee.

That is a quote from Psalm 2:7 which reads;

“I will declare the decree: Yahweh has said unto me, You are my Son; this day have I begotten thee.

Yahweh is the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM. There is no other Elohim or god beside Him.

The prophet Jeremiah wrote:

But Yahweh is the true Elohim; He is the living Elohim, and an everlasting King: at His wrath the earth trembles, and the nations are not able to abide his indignation. (Jeremiah 10:10)

The prophet Isaiah wrote;

O Yahweh of hosts, Elohim of Israel, that dwells between the cherubim, you are THE Elohim, even you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: you have made heaven and earth. (Isaiah 37:16  )

 Yahweh says of Himself;

 You are my witnesses, says Yahweh, and my servant whom I have chosen: that you may know and believe me, and understand that I am He: before me there was no Elohim formed, neither shall there be after me.  (Isaiah 43:10).

Dear reader, you can make yourself an idol to worship or you can buy one in a store. You can overlay it with gold and decorate it with beautiful flowers. You can place it on the highest pedestal in your house and bow down to it 24 hours a day. It still will not see, hear or speak. It will not save you or provide for you. Any blessings you have received in your life came from the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM, Yahweh. He sends rain on the just and the unjust. It is from Him that all blessings flow.

It is time for you to put away your impotent idols and give thanks to Almighty Yahweh, the Creator of the heavens and the earth. It is time to bow down to Him in reverence and awe. It is time to call upon His name to save you. It is time to obey His commandments and put your faith in His only begotten Son Yeshua to cleanse you of your sins and grant you eternal life in His Kingdom.

For all the gods of the nations are idols: but Yahweh made the heavens. (Psalm 96:5)

A time is coming, dear reader, when everyone on the face of the earth will cease worshiping idols of wood and stone and begin worshiping Almighty Yahweh, the ONLY TRUE ELOHIM.

Yahweh will be terrible unto them: for He will famish all the gods of the earth; and men shall worship Him, everyone from his place, even all the isles of the heathen. (Zephaniah 2:11)

Now is the time to begin to worship Yahweh alone. If you die worshiping idols, you will not be among those spoken of in Zephaniah 2:11. Instead, you will have your part in the Lake of Fire;

But for the fearful, and unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, and fornicators, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.  (Revelation 21:8)

Burn your idols. Turn away from your false gods and worship your Creator, Almighty Yahweh, the Elohim of Israel.
